First independent safeguarding Chair

The Church of England has appointed the first independent Chair of its National Safeguarding Panel.

Meg Munn, was installed this week.

She is a former Labour MP and takes over as Chair from the Bishop of Bath and Wells, Peter Hancock, who continues in his role as the Church’s lead bishop for safeguarding.
