With a passion for fostering connections, Steve has long enjoyed relationships with Christian festivals nationwide, ensuring our presence each year. His innovative spirit gave rise to The Big Church Read. Steve’s journey with us began in his youth, as he devoted time to assist his parents at the bookshop, little did he know he would end up running the business!

Andy Bray supports Steve in running the business and can often be found running bookstalls at Christian festivals. In response to the challenges posed by the pandemic, Andy’s role evolved to focus on our online sales initiatives. He also oversees our St Andrews Literature Festival scheduled for June 2024. Andy started with us back as a seasonal conference worker in 2000, with his full-time commitment in 2007.

Meet Debbi Barnett, our adept Card & Gift Buyer, and an integral member of our retail management team. Her journey with us dates back to 2000, with taking time out to look after Steve’s & her 3 children.

Ernie Barnett- was our Chairman for many years after taking over the shop with his friend Tony In 1974. At the ripe old age of 87 he still comes downstairs from his flat above the shop to wrap all our parcels for mail order!

Bev Ormshaw- is part of our retail management team, she came to us firstly as a volunteer to help cover the shop during times when we were away doing festivals. She joined us permanently in 2022.
