Sylvia believes passionately in the power of songs to express profound emotion and heal wounds in both the singer and the listener. She loves to communicate the story of a song in a way which opens up a meaningful connection with her listeners. As a Christian, it is her privilege to pass on songs which have blessed and encouraged her in her own spiritual journey, with a prayerful desire that all who listen will know the God who reassures us that there is No Need To Fear.

“To Jonathan, Clara, the Board and the whole broader family of New Irish Arts, I want to thank you sincerely for instigating this project. It has been so exciting and moving to work with you on this album. I am indebted to you for the many thoughtful investments you make, both in the music and in individual lives * To Mum, Richard and the kids, thank you for your support and prayers over years – it”s always felt and always appreciated * Also to the many friends who have pointed the way ahead, creatively steered and encouraged – thank you. May God richly bless all who listen to these songs.”
