Andrew T. Walker
Andrew T. Walker serves as the Director of Policy Studies for the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission. In his role, he researches, speaks, and writes about human dignity, family stability, religious liberty, public theology, the relationship between church and state, and the moral principles that support civil society. He also examines how ethics inform public policy decisions and the role that religion plays in American culture and politics. He serves as the Director of the ERLC’s Research Institute, and also as an Associate Research Fellow.His writing and commentary appear regularly at Public Discourse, The Gospel Coalition, National Review, and many other publications. He is the author of Marriage Is: How Marriage Transforms Society and Cultivates Human Flourishing and General Editor, alongside Russell Moore, of the Gospel for Life series. His forthcoming book God and the Transgender Debate will release in August 2017.He is currently a PhD candidate in Christian Ethics at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He lives in Franklin, Tennessee.
